Change must happen!
As we get older so does our Web site, so changes are needed to reflect our mission, our many programs we are sponsoring, and delivering new benefits to our membership.
The Web site will change over the coming days/weeks. Keep coming back to see what we are doing to provide benefits to you. Some of the changes will be to:
- Restructure menus - We are adding new areas and changing our top-level menus. "Articles" will be a new section that will contain articles that are pertinent to our project management industry; help hints, tools, how-tos, and other great articles that will (hopefully) do our jobs better, faster, or efficiently.
- Structured communication - As we look at how and how often we are communicating with you, we need to find ways to be more efficient internally since it directly affects the communication to you.
- Earning PDUs - The new PDU category is one area that we are capitalizing to benefit the PMPs. As we bring up the new "Articles" section, we will provide the membership an avenue to publish articles to earn your 1-to-1 PDU. So, look out for this section as well as a policy to publish articles. If you have a few good topics you want to see or want to share, please send me an This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .
- Future benefits - We are in discussion as to what are your benefits, one of them is project-related job announcements that only members receive. We are also looking at a member only section of the Web site to give you special articles, how-tos, templates, and other goodies.
That is it for now. The board is working hard to bring you events, roundtables, PM awards, and professional development day. So, if you have a few hours to spare and would like to contribute to the PM community, please contact one of the Directors. We bring only bring you these benefits through volunteers.
