Synopsis:
Share and discuss the history of Project Management implementation at the Naval Shipyards. Provide information on processes and tools used to manage ship's availabilities. Identify critical success factors as a Project Manager.
Speaker Bio:
Employed at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard for 42 years. Held various positions in the pipefitting shop. Pipefitter helper, apprentice, instructor, supervisor, Nuclear Director and Shop Superintendent.
Assigned as Project Manager for Depot Modernization Program (DMP) and Pre-Inactivation Restricted Availability (PIRA) on nuclear submarines at Pearl Harbor, Operations Executive Manager and Resource Dept. Training Superintendent.
Certified aircraft crew chief Hawaii National Guard and retired after 41 years of service.
