Synopsis:
“Open Forum on Project Management Best Practices”
As a change to our usual format, this luncheon will be interactive: you help drive the content. The “Open Forum” will allow an exchange of ideas and information where one can share, get information on specific issues and interact with other members. Ku’uipo will facilitate discussions so that the information provided will be valuable and useful. She may stimulate discussions by posing questions or select members to
• Share their “Best Practices” on specific processes, tools, techniques, etc. or
• Ask the questions on a subject matter that they would like to know about.
This will be an opportunity to ask questions about or share your own solutions regarding Methodologies, Processes, Tools & Techniques, and Templates.
Facilitator:
Ku’uipo Laumatia, PMP, MBA, is manager of a Project Management Office at a large Hawaii financial institution. She is also a project, program, and portfolio management consultant and trainer for Project Professionals, LLC. She has helped educate and mentor professionals who have achieved their designation of PMP (Project Management Professional) and received their professional certification as project managers. She is also a process improvement consultant and facilitates business process reengineering workshops to streamline organizational processes, maximizing the efficiency of human resources and technology across the enterprise. Ku’uipo has established PMO’s (Project Management Office) in various industries including developing methodology and processes and driving organizational change through a portfolio of programs and projects.
Ku’uipo’s primary professional experience has been in human resources management, education, utility, pharmaceutical, information systems, and telecommunication companies. Additionally, she has developed programs and curriculum for several academic institutions. Ku’uipo is an adjunct faculty member at Hawaii Pacific University and has taught graduate courses in project management. She holds a Master’s of Business Administration in Human Resources Management from Hawaii Pacific University, a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems Computer Science from Brigham Young University, and is a certified Franklin Covey facilitator.
