Synopsis:
I will relate my experience in being PM for the USCG in a 2-year, multi-million dollar project which changed the logistics system that supports 1300 maritime first responder stations spread all over the coastal US. I will relate PMBOK principles to my real-life experience taking tradition-bound sailors from denial & anger to acceptance & enthusiasm in changing the way they support their everyday business of small boat operations on America's waterways.
Guest Speaker:
Tamara has been a Project Management Professional (PMP) since 2010. She has over 19 years of experience as technical project manager & logistics professional. She earned a Superior Performance Award as team lead delivering new logistics system to 1300 operating units spread worldwide. Tamara has directed 40-member, geographically dispersed, cross-functional team to take prototype project plan to full-rate production demonstrating 400% capacity increase. She has leveraged a $2 million budget for seamless transition to electronic record keeping and managed technical requirements for $350 million acquisition of helicopter systems.
