Speaker Biography:

Scott Cheney is the Senior Director of Applications Development at Hawaiian Airlines where he manages software development and operations of Hawaiian Airlines applications. 
He previously worked on SQL Server, Project, Team Foundation Server, Dynamics AX and SharePoint at Microsoft, and managed the EC2 Windows and AWS Accounts teams at Amazon Web Services.

Description:

Cloud-based software projects are becoming the norm for web-based applications and services. This talk discusses the many advantages that cloud services such as Amazon Web Services and Azure provide.  It also takes a look at the many challenges, along with best practices to help avoid common pitfalls.
