Speaker Biography:

Jag is a multi-skilled business and engineering professional. He has 30 plus years of experience in organizational leadership, management, and entrepreneurship. Over the last 30 years, he has worked in both the private and public government sector in India and the USA. Jag's experience spans across diverse multi-cultural organizations - from small startups to large Fortune 100 companies.

Jag is a committed volunteer leader who believes in giving back to the community. For over a decade, he has taken leadership roles in local government and community organizations like Sacramento County Boards, PMI Chapter Board, and Cal Expo Cultural Advisory Council, to name a few. He has provided strategic support for developing annual plans and directions, fundraised, created, and starred in entertainment for community cultural celebration, and represented community interest in issues such as economic and land development, and law enforcement. Jag’s purpose and passion in life are to make a difference in others’ lives.

 

Jag is a trained speaker and he shares his unique stories and lessons from his life experiences to benefit others by equipping them with knowledge, skills, and confidence. He believes in fostering growth and leadership in motivated individuals who will lead us into the future. Jag offers speaking workshops for groups and individual sessions.

 

Jag is a certified Emotional Intelligence Life Coach and offers coaching to individuals on developing emotional intelligence. He also frequently speaks at events focused on benefits of emotional intelligence and strategies to develop the skills.

 

 Jag is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). He offers mentoring and coaching to individuals who is interested in developing project management skills.

 

Jag has received a Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) recognition from Toastmasters International, a highest honor that can be earned by a member of Toastmasters International. The DTM award is given only to those who have demonstrated outstanding leadership and communication skills and who have used these skills to help others in their self-development efforts.

Description: 

There is no doubt that we influence the emotions of others and others influence our emotions. This session will provide insight to emotions, emotional intelligence, and strategies to develop emotional intelligence skills. Emotional intelligence is the foundational skill that holds all other key skills that we have been perfecting - effective communication, active listening, and relationship building, etc.

Session Objectives:
The participants will...

* Learn to identify what causes emotions
* Learn to identify four elements of emotional intelligence

* Learn strategies to improve emotional intelligence
