More about this month's topic: There’s been a lot of progress and momentum on the Honolulu Rail Project over the past couple of years. Bill will discuss the highlights as construction continues and plans are being made to launch limited passenger service next year.
Speaker Bio: Bill Brennan is a veteran communications executive with substantial experience in the broadcast news and government communications fields. In an award-winning career that spans nearly 40 years, Mr. Brennan has worked as a news reporter, anchor, producer and executive producer in Public Radio, Cable Television, Broadcast Television and Commercial Radio in Columbus, Ohio, Chicago and here at KHON-TV Honolulu. He has served as the Public Information Officer for the state Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs, and as the Press Secretary for former Honolulu Mayor Mufi Hannemann. Most recently, Mr. Brennan has served as the Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation Communications Director and has worked for the transit authority since its inception. Mr. Brennan is a native of Cleveland. He attended Washington University in Saint Louis and holds a B.A. in Journalism from The Ohio State University.
