More about this month's topic: This seminar will focus on the preparation of the solicitation for a project including selection of contract type, and solicitation evaluation criteria. Emphasis will be placed on pulling together the key elements of a project plan, stakeholder concerns, risk, scope, cost and schedule into an integrated procurement document. Small group exercises will structure procurements for a number of different project scenarios.
Speaker Bio: Jim has over 40 years of procurement/contract experience in both the government and commercial sectors, most of the time in Hawaii. He has solicited, awarded, and administered over $1 Billion in contracts both domestically and internationally. He was contracting officer for the Ford Island Bridge and Kaho`olawe Clean Up. He has also served as program manager for the $400M Kaho`olawe project, environmental and IT projects. He served as a contract cost/price analyst responsible for large contract pricing and Command pricing policy. He is an active member in the Honolulu Chapter of PMI presenting luncheon presentations, PMP exam preparation classes, and now Advanced Topic Series.
