PMI Honolulu Hawaii Chapter Virtual General Membership Meeting & Luncheon
Title: Honolulu Seawater Air Conditioning
Speaker: Frederic G. Berg, Special Projects of Honolulu Seawater Air Conditioning, LLC (HSWAC)
Date: Wednesday, January 20, 2021 from 12:00PM-1:00PM
Topic Description: The Honolulu Seawater Air Conditioning project crosses the majority of jurisdictions in Hawaii creating a long list of entitlement permits. 12 years on and the effort is ongoing. Permitting touches nearly all projects in Hawaii, and usually we gripe about the process. Frederic Berg, with Honolulu Seawater Air Conditioning since 2008, has battle scars to share.
Speaker Bio: Frederic G. Berg started his career in Hawaii in project management on large construction infrastructure projects. To broaden horizons, he moved to a high tech marketing engineer position in Bruxelles, Belgium. In 1990 he returned to Hawaii to focus on real estate development projects including Aloha Tower, Maluo’hai and Keahou. Currently Mr. Berg is assisting Honolulu Seawater Air Conditioning in coordinating its development efforts. He is a graduate of UH in Mechanical Engineering and Economics and later received an MBA from Boston University.
