More about this month's topic: As companies are increasingly becoming nimble in their approaches to work and embracing change more often, ensuring people are working on the right things at the right time becomes a critical piece of the planning puzzle. But how do you know who is working on what beyond the next few weeks? Also, with priorities continually shifting, do you even have enough of the right people to staff projects while also managing the day to day and keeping the lights on?

In this interactive session, we will uncover what resource management is and should be at both the project and enterprise level. We will discuss best practices, what not to do, and how to think through the organizational change aspects of rolling out or maturing resource management processes and reporting. Finally, we will look at the problem from a tool aspect and using ServiceNow PPM, illustrate scenarios around the "in the weeds" aspects of allocating people to work and reporting on resource capacity up the chain of command so proper prioritization decisions can be made.

Speaker Bio:  For the past 22+ years, Grant has centered most of his career around the discipline of project management and operations as a practitioner, leader, advisor, and educator. He currently works with organizations to adopt Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) tools, processes, and develop and deliver comprehensive training solutions. Before joining Rego, Grant built or matured several PMO’s and Operations teams, building two from scratch in startup environments. His approach focuses on the people side of the equation, embracing conscious leadership principles.
